another question -if anyone knows
so, even though i have been having contractions about 10 minutes apart, i'm only dilated 1cm. I cant go through another day and night of this-i've gotten no sleep and its just painful.
Do you think they would possibly induce me to kinda speed up this process, or do you think i have to wait it out and deal with this pain?

Keep talking to your doctors, they know your health history and progression better than us.
Hang in there, it won't last forever, and the more you can do without induction meds the better, as painful as it is!

I would definitely call your doctor. I would think there are some pain management options for you.

My doctor wouldn't induce me without a medical reason. I begged (seriously, I did) and begged. She did end up inducing me at 39 weeks b/c of preeclamsia though.

Re: another question -if anyone knows
I had a labor similar to this with my DD.
I started labor on a Friday, and I was 2 cm 80% effaced. I kept having regular contractions for 3 days- I was in agony. I went back each day and they kept sending me home. On Sunday we went back and DH demanded that they admit me and do something for me. Once they gave me pitocin and I got an epidural things moved right along. I had my daughter 8 hours later.
Doctors use Bishop's score to determine if induction is favorable. Here is a site for more information. Bishop's Score
Ask your doctr what your score is, and take it from there. I hope things happen for you, I know it s ucks

It really is up to your doctor. SOme doctors like to let nature take its course as much as possible, some don't.
