Another reason why I want to go on Maternity Leave ASAP...I'm so ANGRY right now!

I work with a friend of mine and both myself and another girl report to her. She trained both myself and the other girl and is responsible for that.

Work has been really crazy lately. They FINALLY decided to get a move on and hire a temp, because for some reason they were "ignoring" the fact that I am 8 months pregnant and can go any day now. I've been telling her how I have been feeling, how hard it has been to come here, etc and how I'm hoping my MD will put me out early. I guess she thinks I'm staying until the LAST possible day. WRONG!!

Today she tells me that I am going to be responsible for training the temp that is starting on July 9th. She also tells me she doesn't have time to "hand hold" because she has a lot of work of her own to do. Ok and what do you think I have? First of all YOU are the "supervisor/team leader" so it is YOUR responsibility to train people, NOT MINE! I'm not getting paid the $$ she is and on top of that..I think it's really unfair to say "you will be responsible" when she doesn't even know if I will be here that long!!

My next doctors appointment is TOMORROW and I am going to BEG him to put me out effective immediately as in July 6th will be my LAST DAY!

She really got me upset with her comment. This job is HER life, and she makes herself available 24 hours a day/ 7 days a week when she doesn't have to and then complains she's overwhelmed. Well...I will not do that. As it is I was VERY upset when she called me while I was on vacation in Florida to ask me some stupid question about WORK!! I had just landed and she called me for something that could have been looked up in my computer. I had given her all of my passwords/updates etc.

SO ANNOYING!!!


ETA: Now she sends me an invitation to a meeting on July 11th!

Babies will come weither you have a meeting, or you're training..........keep a smile on your face a reward in your desk...maybe a candybar and.....remember you will have 12wks off and a new baby! Losers never win in the end

Try not to stress over work, ultimately they will have to deal with matters especially if you go out on leave soon. I actually was put on bed rest this past week (don't know for how long yet) but my job is something I only did and I had to train people in a matter of days which was stressful but I left it where they could call me if they need me and I have a computer at home to do work.
If your not up for doing stuff at home just let them know.

Hang in there
