Has anyone successfully transitioned from being a Nursing Home R.N to being a Hospital R.N?

Was it difficult to do (finding a job)? Is the nursing home experience relative...the concern my friend has is that the environments are different so the hospital specialties she likes (L&D or ER) may pass on her...Thanks.
