Another swollen feet question

Is it true that if your feet are very swollen it can be very dangerous. I am on my feet 9 hours a day and I can't put my feet up. . I was at the doctor's this past tuesday and i forgot to mention to him that my feet are starting to look like Shrek's feet. Should I call my doc?

Re: Another swollen feet question

My feet have been swollen (and gotten much worse recently) since about 30 weeks. Can you keep your feet elevated when you get home from work? Also, I got a pedicure the other day and the massage did wonders for the swelling.

I'm not sure why the swelling is bad though - maybe someone else will know.

My feet were so swollen that the pedicaure hurt me so bad it was the most painful pedicure.

I tried everything to soaking them in cold water to elevating them..nothing worked, plus the weather doesnt help.
You just have to be careful you are not showing early signs o preclamsia

Sudden swelling can be a sign of preeclampsia (sp?)....that is why they tell us to watch the swelling. But if you were just at your doctor, Im sure that he checked your urine (protein) and you blood pressure so....no worries.

Re: Another swollen feet question

It sounds like the fact that your on your feet for so many hours could be the problem but just to be safe you should let your Dr know.

You should try to sit throughout the day and put your feet up for a little while, it's not good to stand like that all day.

Hope you feel better.
