any advice from the soon to be moms for ttc mom

I figured some of you soon to be moms might have gone thru this and might be able to offer some advise..


here is my issue... i was on the pill since 2002 and came off of the pill in 2006 my sister in law was on it for years and it took her 5 years to get preggo.. we didnt want that anyhow the last 2 years we were not to serious on ttc .. it was kinda like if it happens it happens .. well now that we are really ttc AF was due 6/27 and now its 7/11 and she is still not around . i tested a week ago and got a bfn.. my question is should i go to dr and tell them no AF and no BFP.. i mean can they send me for test or something to make sure all is ok ..any Advice would be great thank you girls..

It wouldn't hurt to call your doctor and explain the situation. Even if you aren't pregnant there should be a reason why you are so late. Hope that helps!

I would definately call your doctor. Are you normally on a set schedule for AF? I don't think it's an issue about the pill after this amount of time, but what the heck do I know? What's the worst the dr could tell you? You're fine? Why wait?

Just wanted to wish you luck.. I was on bc for 14 years and I went off in Dec and got PG by March.. I think everyones body is different.. I would call the dr and go in and see what could be happening! to you

Someone else just posted that they recieved a negative test and their doctor wanted them to come in for a blood test. It doesn't hurt to go in and get a check up. They can take blood and tell that way.

Also, although most people can only get preggers during a certain week or two some people like myself gets preggers anytime. Therefore, it you are only preggers for a week or so then the hormones might not be strong enough to get a positive result on a test. I am no doctor but I know of this happening. Call your doctor. Tell them the situation and make an appointment.
