Any BTDT's plan to breastfeed for the first time this time around?

I am very excited. I know it is going to be a challenge but it is something I really want to try. With my Liam (firstborn), although I pumped for him in the NICU, he died before I got a chance to breastfeed. With my Julia, I was on medication and didn't feel comfortable doing it. I do regret it sometimes but I know I had to do the right thing at the time. It is definitely something I am looking forward to experiencing this time around!

We had problems with Emily's latch so I never really breastfed. I think she latched well maybe 2-3 times. I did pump for 2 months but when I went back to work at 8 weeks I made the decision to stop pumping.

I'd really like to give it more of a try this time around because I always wished I had. I will be a SAHM this time and of course I won't be a nervous wreck since I won't be a new Mom, so I'd like to try it with some more patience and see if it works for us!

Me! With DS I had no desire to BF at all. With DD I wanted to mainly pump, did it for 3 weeks, but with an almost 4 year old it was hard to be attached to a pump so much, plus aside from DH I had no support. This time I hope to BF and I have lots of awesome friends who do/will support me with whatever I do. I really hope to be successful this time around, but I know it'll be hard with 2 other children to care for.
