Any CF have a "scare"?
DH and I are not TTC right now but I did think I was preggo this month. At first I was all crazy because DH and I feel we are not ready right now to become parents. I took the test and when it said negative I was kinda disappointed. Anyone ever have that disappointed feeling?

Re: Any CF have a "scare"?
I had a "scare" 1 yr ago... I was 10 days late and Im always right on time... I was freaking out about it... Dh tried to assure me that everything would be ok... and then I started to feel better about it... Needless to say, the test was negative... Altho, I think it was a miscarriage... I was actually pretty sad for a couple weeks after... I was so convinced I must have been preggers and then to find out no after getting excited about it was depressing

Yes and was a few weeks late so had to run for a test kit at the drug store...each time I thanked my lucky stars I wasn't pregnant because I really am child free to the core (if I found out I was pregnant right now, I'd seriously burst into tears and cry over my loss of future income, freedom and peace of mind..).

Re: Any CF have a "scare"?
We had a scare 9 months to our wedding date... naturally.
I was a few days late but I was spotting, which is what happened when my co-worker got prego. Took a test and it was negative and got AF a couple days later. DH was actually a little disappointed. I wasn't. I wanted to fit in that damn dress. lol!

Re: Any CF have a "scare"?
Yeah, a few. One when I was about 19, which was really scary. One about 2.5 years ago and I actually did get pregnant, but miscarried after about 6 weeks.

I am this way too! I have had more than one scare. My first thought is, how much will college cost in 18 years

I edited this so it sounds less blunt...
But I have a question - no judgement - but Why isn't abortion an automatic option when someone feels this way about having kids? I am pro choice. If someone is going to view kids as completely joyless, soul sucking, and horrendous, why would they even consider having the child if they got pregnant unintentionally??? Have kids if you want them. Don't have them if you don't. No judgement! But if you are going to hate your kid, hate having your kid, hate the lifestyle that having a kid entails, WHY go through the hell that you say it's going to be? Who is that fair to????
You are completely honest about your feelings, and I respect that a lot more than people who feel the way you do, but agree to have kids out of an obligation to others.
If you feel this way, and would be heartbroken at the thought of having a child, why would that option not be considered?
