Any FTWM's of 2+ here?
How do you fit it in?? I was working out 3-4 X's before the girls were born. Im back at work and the girls are 10 mos old. The only thing Im doing is consistently walking-with the girls :) No strength training, haven't counted a calorie in months. I actually weigh a little less than pp-but have no muscle so Im sooo uncomfortable.
I had success with WW but the thought of spending the time tracking every point completely turns me off.
What is your schedule to ensure you're eating healthy and getting in some good exercise routines?

FTWM of 3.
The key for me is DH. He is fully supportive and we work out a schedule when I can run/workout/bike/swim and he can golf/run/workout.
I also have a 3 mile loop at work...fitting in a short run after work is easier than when I get home.
Some people wake up early...I do this on the weekends to get long runs in...but it's harder on workdays - since having kids.
When there were only two, I used the double stroller a lot. It slowed me down 1-2 minutes per mile, but it was still something.
We also have a treadmill. Its 10 years old, but works great (ell worth it for what we get out of it) ...it helps for no excuses in bad weather and winter darkness.

I have that are 3 years old. I set my alarm clock early and run outside at 445 am. And I'm able to exercise at work.

I have too! Seriously, 4:45 am?!! What time do you go to bed?
Im already in bed by 10 pm and exhausted at my 6 am wakeup with the little ladies. I do think it's partly because Im not exercising/eating right though haha!
Seriously, what does your day look like?

Re: Any FTWM's of 2+ here?
I only have one, but I work FT and I also have a contract job on top of that. I find that lately, if I don't go before work in the AM, I don't usually end up going.
If I do anything on weekends, DH plays a big role in that too since he stays with DS.
Also have you looked into joining a gym that has childcare?
I just joined a gym that has this option (Big Al's).
I haven't used it yet, but I like knowing they have this. I believe the cost is $10/month per kid or you can just pay the $2.00 per session and use it as you need to.
Re: diet. I just have tried to start eating healthier vs. following a diet per se. I always bring my lunch to work since there are no healthy options nearby. At the suggestion of the people at the gym, I have started to give up lots of the "big" carbs too.
Some weeks are definitely harder than others, and I often find myself needing to "re-set" and move forward again.

Any FTWM's of 2+ here?
FTWM of one but whether I have one or 20 my schedule would still be the same.
Eatign healthy IMO takes the same amount of time as eating junk. And since I have to cook for my DS and I do not want him eating junk I just cook for both of us.
Gym - I go at night after DS is set for bed (not alseep yet though) and my DH takes care of him while I am at the gym. So I am not missing more than 30 minutes or so of my DS awake.

Start small and work up. 10 minutes help - so start there. an extra ~15 minutes won't seem too bad to start.
When I used to get up super early to run/go to gym, I would sleep in my clothes. There's no excuse if you slept in your sports bra all night!
There are also boot camps that start in the 5-6 AM range - could you work one of those into your schedule?

Ha... I do this, sleep in my exercise clothes (but not sports bra- too uncomfortable- that and the socks I lay out the night before).
I go either late at night after the kids are asleep or early morning (545 or so) before they wake up.

Re: Any FTWM's of 2+ here?
SINGLE FTWM of 2 who are 7 and 10. I go for walks at lunchtime, climb stairs, 30 min jogs after work on school days before I pick up my girls from aftercare, and 30 min strength videos like J. Michael at home. I eat salads with lean protein everyday for lunch and generally pay attention to what i eat. This combination keeps my weight and clothes size in check and i feel fit and toned enough.
If I had it my way I would belong to a gym and do spin classes, kickboxing, boot camp and Pilates!

FTWM of 2
I go to LA fitness so I can bring the kids with me. That is the only way I am able to go to the gym. It gets crazy in the fall with their sports schedule, which is why I am looking to change up my routine.

Re: Any FTWM's of 2+ here?
i used to only run for fitness and to do that i used my double jogger and ran on the weekend OR during my lunch hour.
now i don't log as many miles b.c i discoverd that Jillian Michaels DVD's work so awesome for me and into my life. I do them before work or after at night when kids are in bed. they are only a half hour and are so effective. the weight training has done so much for me, more than just the running alone. i am so grateful i "discovered" what works!

Re: Any FTWM's of 2+ here?
I am going back to work in a few weeks after 10 months of maternity leave. When I had one DC I got up at 4:45 to run. My plan is the same this time around. I am hoping to get up 2-3 days during the week, and then work out the 2 weekend days as well.

Re: Any FTWM's of 2+ here?
I have 3 kids. I am on maternity leave now but will go back to work in Sept.
The gym is the hardest. I used to go with the 2 but right now with 3 I think it would be really tough.
I think variety is key. Having choices. My list is: Running alone (my favorite but doesn't happen alot) Running with the triple stroller Running with the single stroller (I take one twin as a special treat time with mommy) spin bike in the basement DVDs- all different types, cardio/strength/abs
I am not a morning person so I rarely get up before the kids. But if the baby wakes up early I will feed him then bring him upstairs to hang with DH and go for a quick run.
Like a pp said having a DH that is supportive is key. Working out is my alone time and he is good at helping me get that time.

Re: Any FTWM's of 2+ here?
I have 2 boys and I go to the gym or run at the park after work. I DESPISE the treadmill but in these humid nasty days I rather be in the gym than almost passing out at the park. My schedule allows me to do so and DH will drop off the kids at my parents so I can exercise and he goes off to his other job, if he's called in last minute. It's madness for me since with DH's hectic schedule I don't know what he's doing until 2 hours before but somehow right now it works. I would like to add the weekends in but that is where I struggle the most. I try to get up early and run with the boys in the double stroller but I rather sleep TBH. And running with the double stroller in the Spring is part of the reason my knee gave out on me.
