Any good book recommendations for new mommy
I have no idea what I am doing. I thought we were on a good schedule but last night the baby wouldn't sleep. She cries when I try to burp her. Won't fall asleep in her own bed etc. She is only 6 weeks but I don't want to fall into any bad habits (bringing her in our bed, pacifier addiction etc)
Are there any good books for new moms that will give me good recommendations for getting baby to sleep, what the no-no's of parenting are, etc

I found at 6 weeks DD was starting to get a bit more social and I just didn't know what to do. IMO there is no one size fits all to parenting and you need to do what works. Some people like parent led styles like CIO and others like baby led parenting like attachment parenting. I found "Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child" to be a great book. It's by Dr. Weissbluth (I hope I got that right) I feel like it's baby led but parent guided.

IMO you can't give them bad habits at 6 weeks. At that age they don't have a schedule really and beleive me even if you think they do....it will change 50 times.
I read Happiest Baby on the Block and tried everythign they said. Nothing worked...my DS was colicy and he just need to grow out of it.
My biggest advice is trust you insticts.
