Any home remedies for the common cold?
I have a cold and have passed it on to my DS.
I have been drinking tea with two tylenol.
What can I do?

Sleep when Jack does and wash your hands constantly. I've been sick so many times this pregnancy from DS and it stinks because there's not much to do. I did wind up with bronchitis though because I didn't take good enough care with a cold - do take care of yourself!

Ok - I am very stupid - what is a netti pot?
I do nap when he naps but unfortunately I have to work today so that's out of the question (and tomorrow too, and a party on Sunday)

Netti pot to clear your sinuses.
I was going to suggest this. I've been doing it as much as I can to help with my allergies.

CVS or any pharmacy should have them, health food store, etc.
Just make sure you get the netti pot salt with it.

No it doesn't hurt, but if you've been blowing your nose and it's raw inside, it might burn a little bit, kind of like being at the ocean and getting water up your nose.
It might take a few head tilts to get the right positioning so it doesn't go into your throat.
Lean your head forward and and not too much to one side, the side you are NOT sticking the pot end into (if that makes sense  )
It won't work overnight, you have to be consistent with it. I usually do it once in the morning and then once at night. When it was bad I did it 3x a day.
