Any Ladies from Astoria...
I am going out to dinner tonight. Can anyone recommend some good restaurants in Astoria...I'm from Astoria and I've been to a lot of restaurants but not all so I was wondering if there any other good ones...No Italian please...
Preferably Greek or Spanish
I've been to: Zodiacs Tierras columbia

Re: Any Ladies from Astoria...
You should try Kyklades it is on Ditmars Blvd. between 33rd and 35th Street. Or Stamatis on 23rd Avenue between 29th and 30th Street. Both excellent Greek.

I agree, Taverna Kyclades is the best Greek restaurant in Astoria!!!! also it has the highest Zagat's rating...Stamatis is ok..but their dishes are full of oil...
Hands down Kyclades!!! Enjoy!!!
There is also another place called Sagapo Taverna (means I love you) which is great but a little bit pricey...

You need reservations for this place...
I was there a while ago and I can't remember if you needed reserations....it's a small place, so that might be why they suggest them. But it was really good.

I love Elia's Fish Corner- 31st ST and I think 24th Ave under the el- it's AWESOME if you love fish. They have no menu- they just tell you what they have fresh..
I also love Telly's Taverna 2813 23rd Ave

Re: Any Ladies from Astoria...
Brick is really good I went a long time ago but didn't need reservations and it was a Saturday night and we were 4 but it did get crowded. I use to live like around the corner from there.
What is that big Greek on Broadway, right by Tierras? I like that better than Stamantis.
I love the Tapas place on 31st street- towards the city before Broadway. I think it is like EL Boqueron or something like that. Was one of my favorites when I lived there. I never had a full meal just tons of tapas and of course dessert. They had my favorite dessert - some champagne sauce over berries...so yummy.
I miss Astoria eating....I miss rice and beans from Tierras.....

Re: Any Ladies from Astoria...
The other greek place is Uncle George's.
Food is supposedly good but I had a friend who worked there who told me stories that made me NEVER want to go back in!
Actually are you willing to go to jackson heights??? There is a new greek place in the Dante shopping center next to Rosas pizzeria, you know where I am talking about?? It is EXCELLENT! Very nice people and very affordable food!
