The other greek place is Uncle George's.
Food is supposedly good but I had a friend who worked there who told me stories that made me NEVER want to go back in!
Actually are you willing to go to jackson heights??? There is a new greek place in the Dante shopping center next to Rosas pizzeria, you know where I am talking about?? It is EXCELLENT! Very nice people and very affordable food!
I went to Uncle George's and was not impressed with their food at all!
I'm willing to go to Jackson Heights but I don't know the area you are talking about. I've passed through jackson heights but don't really know the area too well...

Re: Any Ladies from Astoria...
OK..you know 31st Avenue? If you travel 31st Avenue all the way down, to around 77th stree, you will see a shopping center. Dantes reception hall, rosas pizzeria, modells, eckerd and some other things are in there. Right next to Rosas, there is a greek place now. Cant remember the exact name. But it was so good.
Do you know where McClancy Highschool is? Its about 3 blocks from there!

No no - not Uncle George's - not at all the place I am thinking of. Me no likey Uncle George's at all.
It is big and blue and greek kind of nautical themed inside. I can taste the friend cheese thing and a huge nice grilled red snapper and lemon potatoes.
El Boqueron has a website - now I am hungry!! http://www.elboquerontapas.com/
PS - I typed this out earlier today and somehow it didn't post....

Brick is really good I went a long time ago but didn't need reservations and it was a Saturday night and we were 4 but it did get crowded. I use to live like around the corner from there.
I love the Tapas place on 31st street- towards the city before Broadway. I think it is like EL Boqueron or something like that. Was one of my favorites when I lived there. I never had a full meal just tons of tapas and of course dessert. They had my favorite dessert - some champagne sauce over berries...so yummy.
I have to agree with El Boqueron, it's very good.
Brick Cafe is very good too- nice ambiance
I have to recommend Agnanti on Ditmars Blvd. & Astoria Park- one of our favorite greek restaurants Cute enviorment Even my greek inlaws like this place
I have to mention 718 on Ditmars and 35th Street. it's a french fusion type place - food is excellent and thier raspberry mojitos are the best!
Enjoy dinner!!!!!
