Definitely considering it. We were on vacation and saw a woman - maybe a little older than me - all gray and she was striking. I'm 45 now. Possibly in my 50's.

I have not dyed my hair since I was 18....and I am 43. I guess I saved a lot of money on dying! Ha! But I am thinking about doing it. Why in your 50's?

Any ladies here planning on going gray?
Nope - I started going gray in my 20's. Now I'm about to be 41 and the gray is out of control. I have to color my hair every 3-4 weeks.

To me, gray hair is like super short hair. Very few people can pull it off. I am not one of them. For either.

Like others said - I don't want to make myself look older than I am and I don't think the color would look good on me (I'm a redhead and when I was blond in high school it washed out my face too much).

Me exactly, went gray in my 20s, turning 41 next month. I try to stretch it out to 4-6 weeks...it helps with bangs and the color spray for the roots lol

Re: Any ladies here planning on going gray?
i have no choice. my hair is very very fine and can't handle any more hair dye.
my grandmother had gorgeous gray hair (it was white) so i'm hoping i get the same coloring.

Re: Any ladies here planning on going gray?
Yes I'm planning on going gray. I think it looks beautiful especially on a younger person.
Also I prefer the gray on a natural brunette instead of brunettes going blonde to blend the gray in.

Re: Any ladies here planning on going gray?
Ive been considering it. I am 40 and basically 100% grey. Its such a PITA to keep up with the coloring every 4 weeks.

Re: Any ladies here planning on going gray?
On another note there is a girl in her mid twenties in my office who dyed her hair grey. Like not platinum- true grey. So maybe it's a new trend with young people?

Yeah, I’ve seen this too.
I’d never go gray. I don’t dye my hair now but I will once I start going gray.

No way. I doubt I'll go grey even when I'm much older. I think it does look not bad on some people but it absolutely ages you, weather it looks "good" or not.

I guess I’m considering it because I see older women dye their hair but they still look old anyway as their face/neck reflects their age etc and most men don’t do it so why should I? But who knows. Maybe once I see more gray I will run to get it dyed.

Any ladies here planning on going gray?
If I had pretty gray hair then I might consider it but my gray is dirty looking. I have been going gray since my teens. It's a pain in the ass because I need it done every 3 weeks but it's just routine. My grandma went to the salon and had her hair blown out and dyed every week. That will be me lol.

I tried it a few years ago. I didnt like it. I went back to red. Being bright red that everyone can see a mile away is more "me." I'm going to rock my crazy red curls as long as I can.

Any ladies here planning on going gray?
I’ve had a few grey hairs since I was in my 20s. I’ve gotten a few more in the last decade, but still haven’t dyed my hair. With that said, once it becomes noticeable I will most likely dye my hair.

Re: Any ladies here planning on going gray?
I'm in my early 40's and this past year have gotten a bunch of gray hairs. I had a few before that. I haven't dyed my hair in 20 years and had decided that I would just let my hair go gray. While I have no problem with the gray, lately i've been thinking about dying my hair a dark brown (like my son's color as mine is looking very dark and harsh lately, more black). I'm hesistant though bc then it's like I'm going back on my decision to go gray althouh I'm not dying it for that reason. I may dye my hair again to see how I like it but eventually will just go back to letting it gray. There is something appealing about aging gracefully, not trying to erase the fact that I'm aging.
