Any of you waiting to TTC?
We're waiting until Janauary to start....but every time I see a baby, or hear someone else is pregnant...i want to start humpin my hubby right away to TTC. hehehe.
Some people tell me I should start right away because of my age (early 30's)..and it could take a long time to get preg. But then I hear someone gets preg after one rondezvous!!!!!
***.....i'm just confusing myself I guess.
Part of me says wait until Jan...and part of me says DO IT NOW! HURRY!
anyone else feel this way?
sorry..it's Friday and I'm rambling.

I am waiting till after my wedding which is this October. The urge did not start out too strong, but boy is it getting ever worse!

Those same thoughts went through my head since I just got married in January and wanted to try right away but wasn't sure if I would miss the "honeymoon" stage of our marriage is we immediately became pregnant. We decided to try right away and here we are.... 6 cycles later...
I can't giveyou any advice since it is a decision you need to make on your own, but I thought my experience might help!

Kind of. Our DD is 9.5 months old and we are waiting until next cycle to start TTC again. We have talked about ttc again since dd was 6 months but ultimately wanted to wait a little longer for personal reasons. I would actually want to wait a few more months, but with my age (34) and the fact that it may take a while, we decided not to wait too much longer.

We had originally decided to wait until our 2 year ann to start TTC but ended up starting about 6 months earlier. Just couldn't wait any longer! 10 cycles later we were still not PG and I said to DH aren't you glad we didn't wait any longer (we started seeing an RE about that time). I guess the point is you never know what could happen. Maybe it'll only take 1 or 2 times for you to get PG and maybe it'll take much longer. The bottom line is to be as prepared as possible (which is up to you and DH) for whatever may come your way!

We are waiting to TTC at the end of the summer. Originally we were going to start trying on our one year anniversary (may 26) but I booked a few trips that I want to go on first. Hopefully I will get knocked up by the end of the year. If not, I wouldn't mind if it took a bit longer. We are going to have fun with it.

We are. I need to quit smoking first though...and it has been rough. I would like to start trying at least by the fall...I will be 32 and reading these posts I am getting a bit worried since I have very irregular periods.

We are going to wait until the end of the summer to start TTC. I am in graduate school and figured I can get 2 more semesters in if we wait until then. Plus if we had a baby in the late spring or early summer, DH's mom would be able to help us out since she is a school teacher and has summers off.

We wanted to for a long time but had a lot going on in our lives that would have been too stressful to even think about it. Things aren't really slowing down much but we're getting older with every moment & it hit us more than ever....so here we are. You just know when the time is right & nothing is going to stand in your way.

in theory we really want to buy a house first - we still rent. ive had baby fever since we got married in september, but DH only had a touch of it around xmas so we are still on schedule. we are prob gonna start looking at houses in the fall and hopefully buy something by the time our lease is up in april. so i would say not at least until then...but ya never know!!
ETA - we are also still in our 20's so we arent in a rush - at least HE'S not in a rush lol

I am with you on this. I have so many reasons to wait a little. For example until we are finacially ready (which I don't think you ever will be for a baby..haha), until we get our own house, and my cousin is getting married next June and I am her MOH. There is a whole list of reasons but there is that part of me that wants to start now. I talk to my friend about this all the time. I know I should probably wait but there is a part of me who wants to start trying right now. I read all the threads on TTC, Pregnancy and My Birth Story and it makes me want to have a baby even more. DH feels the same way. Whenever we see one we want one so bad but are waiting. I feel the same way as you. You are not alone. Now I am rambling..haha

I am waiting a bit. I just had big surgery (removal of an ovary cyst and part of my ovary and a tumor on my fallopian tube). I will wait a few months till everything is healed. after that, I figure we need to really start because who knows if it will be an easy journey.

We are going to try to TTC again Aug/Sept - b/c we have a trip planned to WDW and I don't want to be too pregnant when we go. I'm just checking it out again over here to refresh my memory etc. I'm afraid that since I have PCOS and was told I would never get pregnant on my own the 1st time (we hit it the 1st month) that with my age and the PCOS that I won't be so lucky this time - especially with DD it is harder to TTC now

We are waiting - we're trying to get a few things in order first and enjoy "us" time (especially since we didn't live together before marriage). My brother and SIL are having their 2nd in September so I think that will hold me over for a bit

I just keep thinking I don't want to be 6 months pregnant in a slim MOH dress...haha I don't care if I just become pregnant. I was going to come off BCP this summer but now I am going to wait til we are closer to next June to come off them.
