any other ideas of what i can do for DS? re:wetting through at night
DS is 25 pounds and in size 4 diapers. i have him in size 5 overnights. lately he has been wetting through EVERY night!!
i've limited his drinks especially in the afternoon and evening. he has some water with dinner at around 6, a sippy of milk (around 6 oz) before bed at around 7:30. that's it after lunch time. i bought diaper doublers to put in the overnights. i put the overnight on 2 minutes before he goes to bed literally. the diapers are pulled nice and tight
what else can i do? i feel so badly that this kid wakes up soaked every day
ETA: i'm using pampers overnights. huggies didn't work so well for him and the fisher price were terrible. these used to work so great!

I would def. continue to limit his intake in the evening. Also, are you putting the overnight on at the last minute? Ryan gets his PJs on around 7:30PM, but I don't put the overnight on until right before he goes to bed b/c he will wet through it.
ETS: Sorry, I re read your post, and you do.
I can't think of anything else. That seems like so much if he's not drinking a lot at night

I have been using double diapers for a few weeks now. My friend at work suggested this. She said to cut a slit in the front of one diaper, put that one on first and a second one over it. DS has been dry ever since.

we had the same issue with ds for a while... i found that the issue for him was that he is a belly sleeper and when he wiggled into sleep the diaper was actually getting stuck on his onsie at the waist and then the diaper leaked... so really it was a positional issue for him

cut a slit straight through the diaper? .
Well sort of (sorry if I wasn't clear) through the top layer (not the cottony part). Just enough so that when the cotton part is filled on the diaper underneath it will spill over to the top diaper. I hope that made more sense.

Oh I am having the SAME issue!! DS is 29 lbs and I have him in size 6 overnights and the diaper is totally soaked through some mornings. I need to get better at cutting back fluids at night... hopefully that will help.

Pull up the diaper pretty far in the front. I do this for my kids and they both sleep on their bellies for part of the night and we never have leaks. If you have a nighttime pooper you may not want to do that but my kids never poop at night
