Any other toddlers refuse to sleep in carseats / are terrible in the car?

Sometimes I feel like my kid is the only kid who won't sleep in the car! We left on Friday night to go to PA and she cried almost the entire trip. DH even sat in the back for part of the ride to try to make her happy. She was exhausted (it was her bedtime), but she fights sleeping in the car....it really makes traveling very difficult. And to top it all of...she finally falls asleep 10 minutes before we arrive and we had to wake her up. She was better on the car ride back today, but she still hates the car. Anyone else? Any tips? She throws her sippy cup and toys in frustration...basically she hates being strapped down.

No real advice, but my DS doesn't really sleep in the car either since we turned him around. He does doze off just like your DD 10 mins before we get someplace

But he loves being in the car, he loves to look around and see everything.

I just assumed that after a while they don't sleep in the car anymore and we were at this age.
