Re: any recipe ideas
Stuffed peppers!
Take some bell peppers, remove tops, clean out seeds and put them in the oven to bake empty for about 10-20 minutes.
Meanwhile, start a pot of rice using beef broth instead of water.
While the rice is cooking, sautee onions and garlic in a little olive oil. Add ground turkey with a little salt and pepper, a few dashes of worcestershire sauce, some beef paste, about cups of tomato sauce (marinara), and a palmful of grated Gruyere. Toss the rice into the meat mixture, add some peas and toss.
Remove peppers from oven, put sauce on bottom of the baking dish and stand peppers up in the sauce. Spoon meat mixture into warmed peppers, top with more tomato sauce and then grated cheese (I use a mix of Gruyere, Mozzarella and Reggiano in a ratio of 3:2:1). Pop it in the oven and cook until cheese is melted and delicious. Then Serve with a loaf of crusty Italian bread and a simple green salad.
