Umm this may be too far west but we recently went to the Irish Coffee Pub in Islip area - great food!

Sonoma Grill off Sunrise is pretty good and I love their decor! I think it's considered Holbrook where it is. It's in the same shopping center as Seamans and there is a gym there.

There is a new Italian restaurant in Center Moriches (exit 59 off Sunrise). It is right on main street across from McDonalds. It is called La Volpe, and it is great!!!

Looove SOnoma Grill. Huge portions and good prices.
Used to be a Howard's junkie until my aunt had a bad experience.
