Re: any secrets for trying for a boy?
The only thing I ever heard was to bd on the day of ovulation. The thought is male sperm are faster but die quicker. So they would reach the egg quicker. For a girl you would bd days before ovulation. But I think most of it is 50/50.

Old wives tale.
I don't think so, i believe that there were a number of scientific studies done regarding this practice. The catch, i believe, is though that some men produce more male sperm than female. So in the end, I really don't think you can control it. We DTD on Ovulation day for both of our pregnancies and ended up with boys. We have actively been trying for a girl using the above method. Hopefully we will see soon.
Good luck!

I think the data on this are mixed. And it is not true that some men produce more male sperm. They produce 50-50. That is a biological fact.
We did it on ovulation day for all three of our kids. Our first two were boys. The third is a girl.
OP- there are websites/message boards dedicated to gender selection. Google it and I'm sure you can find more info.

Re: any secrets for trying for a boy?
I posted about having a girl about a month ago lol
From what I have found and some could be old wives tale but...
Boy sperm swim faster but live a shorter amount of time so BD close to ovulation so they get to the egg first.
Girl sperm swim slower but last longer so BD a couple days before ovulation so the boy sperm have died off and the girl sperm are waiting for the egg.
Boy sperm like an alkaline environment. Having the big O releases alkaline fluid so make sure you experience the big O if trying for a boy.
Girl sperm like a more acidic enviromment so no big O if you are trying for the girl. I also read that some people will douche to create the right PH environment but you do risk getting an infection.
When you google you will find special diets and stuff to try and change the PH of your body.
I have 2 boys and they both were conceived very close tp ovulation and I "O'ed" each time. We are going to be trying again soon and I am going to try and switch it up to see if we can get a girl so we will see. Good luck!

I got pregnant with IUIs with both of my children. IUIs done exactly 36 hours after trigger, so they were both timed identical. First was a and second was a .
