I'm a beginner runner who is overweight and has allergy & exercise induced asthma. Fun, huh? I'm trying to enjoy running - and I do when I'm in a groove, but for the most part I'm finding myself using my inhaler before & during a race, which I'd like to stop.

I have a 5k on Sunday where the course is up & down ramps & stairs. (Certainly not worrying about PR'ing this race!) Obviously I'll be taking it slow...slower than normal, but I want to make sure I'm not carried out on a stretcher. Chat Icon

Any tips for the future? Best way to train for future races as an asthmatic runner?

I heard "wogging" is good - walking & jogging. But I pretty much do that now.Chat Icon
