Any wafflemaker tricks?
I used mine for the first time and the waffles got stuck to the maker. It was a disaster.
What do I need to use to make them not stick? The directions said not to use the spray.

Is it non stick??? I don't have a waffle maker but when I was in college we used to have one in the cafeteria and it was stainless steel and we used to stray it before hand

I spray mine before I start using it...also, make sure it is up to temperature before you put the batter in

i always wait awhile to make sure its up to temp... and mine is non stick, but i still use pam spray on it. always works well, and hasn't ruined it yet...

If its the 1st time you used it, don't you need to coat it/ cure it with oil first?
That what my directions said- before 1st waffle, brush on some veg oil but that should be the only time you do that

That happened to me once when I did not fully let them cook. I opened it up to peek and it was a mess.
