Anybody else get numb hands?
I'm in week 19 and for the past week or two I am continuously losing feeling, especially in the right hand. It always happend when I'm sleeping, but it's been happening more and more when I'm awake. Anybody else? Is this a random part of carpal tunnel or something else?

Re: Anybody else get numb hands?
Yes, I had it right around that time too. It's pregnancy related carpal tunnel and it sucks! It really interfered with my sleeping for a few nights. The good news is that it stopped after about 2 weeks (at least for me it did).
eta: they tell you not to sleep on your hands or put any pressure on them and that helps...

Re: Anybody else get numb hands?
This just started for me last week, my wrist is what really hurts me.
I have been told that if it is pregnancy related carpal tunnel, it goes away within a week of delivery.

Re: Anybody else get numb hands?
mine got so bad i had to change my duties at work... I'm a pastry chef...
the doctor said it was swelling in my hands and the nerve being pinched... i was in so much aching pain all night long it would keep me up... then the numbness would be there in the am.... where i couldn't lean on one side without that hand going numb...
she said unfortunately just another pregoo symptom and will go away after birth...
it did get a little better since i stopped using my hands so much at work...

Re: Anybody else get numb hands?
I had it and fortunately it went away before delivery because I had a really bad stomach virus and lost a lot of the fluid I had been retaining that was causing it.
I wore a wrist brace at night and it made it better.

I also have this, I wake up with it but I am noticing if I stay in a certain position, they both start going numb even when I'm awake.

Re: Anybody else get numb hands?
I love this site!!!!!!!!! Any symptoms and you find others that have had it. Does anybody know where I can get wrist braces? Do I need a Rx from the dr?
