OMG! Did not know this.
I feel like there is so much conflicting stories out there on the news. The CBS special made it sounds like there wasn't enough evidence to suggest sexual assault. This certainly does.
I guess one problem is, these shows are built for ratings not necessarily to tell the truth.....
forgive me because i'm not sure what channel i was watching, but the dr i saw on tv said that the vaginal swelling is NOT conclusive evidence of sexual abuse. it can be something as simple as wiping incorrectly.
now... i don't recall hearing the word "contusions" as to the vagina, just "swelling."
this entire thing is crazy.
I saw on one of the specials she had recently been to her ped for vaginitis and her ped swore he never saw signs of molestation.
It seemed sexual adult was ruled out. It's such a crazy story. I can't imagine what actually happened.
Also I saw above the liguature mark small half moon crescents. They said it looked like she was struggling and trying to save herself. Indicating that she was alive before the blow to the head and strangled with the garrot while conscious. If that's true that rules out her immediate family.

Yes! Part of why the Burke theory makes sense to me is how they swore all their friends to silence. I feel like he maybe had a history of majorly acting out against his sister and they wanted to hide that to save him. The story of how he lost his temper and hit her with a golf club too.
It's just frustrating how such different facts are thrown around with things like the sexual assault. CBS had a highly regarded me explain she wasn't abused or assaulted. He said inflammation is common in young girls which my ped certainly would agree with. Dd had some just yesterday probably from poor wiping.

it looks like an atty plans on suing for Burke the TV station for using this show during sweeps week and making it look like it was Burke

Yes I think that there is way more too this. I think it was an outsider. Potentially someone that was close to the family and knew when they would be home. I think they were at the house hiding and waiting on Christmas day and did it after she got home. I think they were there for hours, writing the ransom note etc. It's a big house, they could easily go undetected until everyone was asleep. I didn't like how the CBS special was done at all.
TOTALLY THIS. and how all the friends said she was going around saying santa was going to give her a special gift AFTER christmas and how it didnt make sense... and the weird christmas card from santa was in her trashcan that night... and that the lights were on in places in the middle of the night that neighbors never saw them use ever before and found suspicious...
i cannot see it being the brother or the parents with evidence like that.... even if it isnt hard evidence. it def. seems like an outsider who may have been infiltrating and setting this up for months and months prior.

From the start they were the main suspects so it gets dicey. I think if you are in that position you might think that something you do while cooperating will be twisted and used against you. I am sure it's happened before and I too would be skeptical of the police in a situation like this where you know you are the prime suspects.

the guy is a millionaire. he can afford top notch representation throughout the interviews.
anyway a grand jury still indicted their azzes but they basically influenced the DA not to prosecute so total system failure imho and no justice for her!

Yes, that's why I have a hard time believe that the parents would cover it up.
to make up that strangulation contraption and then choke her to make it look like a stranger broke in. I just can't believe any parent would do that to cover up for their child.
It just seems like there was so many weird people around that area.
And that john mark karr or mark john karr is a weirdo....
any one see his interview??? did I understand him right?? he got himself castrated?

I still have to watch all of the specials - hope they stay On Demand for a while. I just have to say my heart is broken for what this little girl endured in her short life. I hope she gets justice one day.

I haven't seen any of the specials and I admitedly have not read up much on this case, I know just a bit about the basics but besides the obvious this is what seems strange to me --- they were a affluent/wealthy fsmily and the dad was some top level corporate manager or ceo, they lived in a big house I think which seems fitting considering what he did for a living and a pp mentioned the house was big enough that someone could easily hide and go unnoticed and even the neighbors thoughg it was srange that some lights were on in parts of the house they ne er even used, the dad had made $118k in bonus alone that year which is a lot of money ESPECIALLY bacm then, yet considering ALL this --- why did they live in such a shady sketchy area with so many break-ins and so much crime?? It seems so odd to me. They could easily have afforded to live in a big home n a very affluent upscale neighborhood..... also, I don't know any of th background story of this creepy santa claus guy but how did he have access to the house and thd little girl?? Was he a relative? Family friend? Neighbor? Again, odd, considering their wealth and the husband's profession it's odd that they would associate with such a creep.
My heart breaks for that little girl, first to be dressed up and paraded around like a show dog, then to have been possibly abused and murdered, and last for STILL not having justice or her murder 20 yrs later. May she RIP. Poor baby

I have sadly becomes obsessed. As far as houses they had more then one in different areas I have been reading original transcripts and interviews by cops. Why the hell would Jon Ramsey go unattended for about an hour that day? And also the day before he was gone for 4 hours getting their plane ready for their trip that was supposed to happen that early morning. I believe Jon Ramsey either did the murser or covered for Burke and that patsy Ramsey was clueless and always deferred to her husband She didn't even know about an affair her husband had in his previous marriage She was told via cop interviews

Wait they had their own private plane AND they lived in a shady neighborhood?? Even stranger.... even if they had a few houses in different areas I would presume all heir properties would be in safe affluent areas.

Where did you hear that they lived in a dangerous neighborhood? I always heard that JonBenet was the only homicide of 1996, and that the home was in an "exclusive" neighborhood.

Anybody else watch all of the specials on about JonBenet Ramsey?
I watched the A&E special last night and it seemed like they were definitely leaning towards the intruder idea. But at the same time, they had police who noted that the parents behavior was very fishy when they arrived. They weren't consoling each other, the father left to get the ransom money presumably, and the mother was sobbing but looking at the police through splayed fingers, and the brother never came out of his bedroom.

no, first murder but there were 100's of breakins around their home/neighborhood that year/month and lots of sexual criminals or whatever you call them were residing nearby.
