No -- but I lived alone for awhile before I met him so I am used to it......I have to admit, I like having the bed to myself sometimes -- DH is 6'3" and hogs the bed!!

I go through a whole ritual when DH is away (lock the doors, turn on outside lights, close blinds, set alarms, etc.). I never did the baseball bat thing, but hmmmnnn

Not afraid, but I can understand if you just moved in and are not familiar with the new sounds in a house.
DH sometimes is away for business and its nice to have the bed to myself although I do miss him.

I am used to it. At first every creak freaked me out.....4 years later I sleep like a baby. My DH is out of town all the time and such is life. Everytime he is out of town, he is making money. So I really cannot complain about sleeping alone.

I used to be afraid...now I kind of enjoy it DH just left today for Michigan and wont be back until next Wednesday...it will give us time to miss eachother and i don't have to clean up after him for a week

Yes!! I hate it and can't sleep. I told DH we need an alarm system if he ever has to start traveling for work.

i used to be more afraid, but i realized its not so bad. we have a dog, so i feel like he would protect me- LOL... but i still do things like leave lights on, sleep with the phone right next to me, etc....
DH is away right now( was away last week, too) and i actually kind of like having the TV to myself, not having to cook, having less to straighten up, AND him not hoggin the bed- LOL

I'VE gotten used to it, DH is at sea for 3 weeks at a time. i'm alone in a big 100 year old house by myself half the time.

Yeah, I'm a big chicken and even with Jake, the dog, and all the lights on, I'd still have trouble falling asleep alone.

Id be scared too! And DH wouldnt let me stay home alone even I wanted too. DH went out of town a couple time since we've been married and I spent those nights at my parents house. Luckily they are close by.

exactly why I have a really BIG dog, that has a very scarey bark when a starnger is at the door.
I have some issues with the dark....

no, I lived alone for a long time. Plus, DH works some nights, so I have to deal with it.
