Anyone been to Mim's in Syosset?
Do you know if you need reservations for a Friday night? Also, what is the dress?

Casual dress and yes, make reservations.
Love that place.
I get the scallops with the lobster risotto all the time..I think it's the best thing on the menu.

ETS: I went there a few years ago for a Christmas party for work, loved the food. Today's my b-day, and I think I want to go there.

i was just there for a shower this past sunday. it was soooo good!!!!!
i would call and make a reservation. it is semi dressy. not a jeans type of place.

I called. They don't take reservations on weekend nights for less than 6, but they do call ahead.

Love Mim's! Had DH's 37th there.
Definitely call for a reservation.
It's semi-casual. I've worn dressy jeans there. It's definitely not a "bar & grill" atmosphere.

was there about 2 weeks ago and they had a special called Marvin's marvelous meatballs.
They were marvelous..and big..
wonder how big Marvin is?

We must live near each other. 
I like Mim's but I doubt I will be able to drag DH there again after he had the smallest steak ever a couple of months ago there. I felt so bad he walked out hungry.

I was there about 2 weeks ago on a Thursday...the food was great!!!!
Dress code was pretty casual...people were in jeans and I saw one guy in shorts.
