Anyone deliver @ Good Sam in W. Islip?
Just wondering if you have, how you liked it/didn't like it.

Re: Anyone deliver @ Good Sam in W. Islip?
I haven't given birth yet but have been to labor and delivery 3 times this pregnancy and I have nothing but good things to say about the hospital. The nurses were so nice and I had the same nurse all 3 times on the night shift and she was awesome. I pray she's there when I give birth. I hope and pray my labor and delievery gos as well as all the times I've been there. Hope this helps

Re: Anyone deliver @ Good Sam in W. Islip?
I delivered via c-section nearly 2 years ago. Cannot say enough about how ownderful the staff was!!! there were also free "classes" for new parents and new Fathers in the ward. I have to say that the rooms are small and cramped. you share a bathroom too. I heard they have redone them but have not seen them but they are still cramped. Since i had a section I was pretty drugged up and at the same time happy with being a new mom that it did not matter so much

I will most likely be delivering there too. I heard you can get a tour if you take a class there. We are thinking of doing that.

I delivered there 2 years ago and I have nothing but good things to say about the hospital. They were very nice and very helpful with whatever you needed. The rooms are tight. I think I am going to go on another tour just to see the redone rooms.

I delivered there a year and a half ago and will again in a few months. My stay was great. The nurses were wonderful and supportive. They didn't pressure to bf or bb and they were supportive with what i chose. My only complaint was I never got to see the LC since I gave birth right after a holiday but the nurses were more then helpful with helping me figure out the nursing thing.

Re: Anyone deliver @ Good Sam in W. Islip?
LOVE IT!!
The staff is so nice (I was just in L&D last week for the kick to my belly )
When I delivered there with DS, the staff was wonderful, they let DH stay as late as he wanted with me and baby. I had a C_section and they were on top of everything checking me constantly to see if I needed anything (but I recovered so well I barely needed them at all!)
They truly are wonderful and it was clean and comfortable too.
