Anyone do the Winter Series 5k at Heckscher today?
I did. It was fun, but very WINDY. I honestly didn't think it would affect me that much, I love running in the cold, but the wind is killer. Much of the last mile had this wall of wind pushing against youI was disappointed in my finish time, which was a minute slower than my PR from last month, but I felt better after several people told me that they were about a minute slower as well. The best was that my 10-year old niece ran it and did great!! I'm so excited she is into it too.

Aww, thats awesome that your niece did it!  We missed it unfortunately, we were still at the hospital with DD. We are all home now so hopefully I will get a chance to run this week and make it to the net race on Sunday. I hate running in the wind though. Great job!

Aww, thats awesome that your niece did it! We missed it unfortunately, we were still at the hospital with DD. We are all home now so hopefully I will get a chance to run this week and make it to the net race on Sunday. I hate running in the wind though. Great job!
Oh no! Hope she is doing better and that your family is all well now. Maybe I will see you this weekend, I'm not sure yet, but would like to.
