Is today a winter jacket day?
I'm not used to wearing a winter coat in October!! My DC only have a light fall coat or the Gap Warmest Jacket. Is it cold enough for the winter coat???

Are they going to be outside a lot? Or just to/from car?
DD's just going to/from the car today, so I'm just doing layers under her fall coat (I think, though I could change my mind when I step foot outside  )

If you're taking him out I'd put one on. It's in the 40's... cold and rainy. I heard even flurries.
Glad DH is home today so I didn't have to take Mason to daycare today.

I took dd in a reg fall coat and was embaressed bc it was so lightweight. I popped in my trunk and found a winter jacket. Its terrible today!

We are. Weather.com said that with the wind chill it's about 35 degrees right now and will stay around that most of the day. BRRRR!

not for us - DS is in a long-sleeved onesie and a fleece hoodie, and a heavy sweatshirt for going to and from home.
to tell you the truth i don't have a winter coat for him!
i just wore my pea coat and i was fine.

I put him in a heavy sweatshirt jacked and turtle neck(undershirt too) he was fine- just going from house to car.
If going for a walk, or going to be outside, might want to consider heavier jacket and hat

Yes, if you are going to be outside for more than a few minutes, I would go for the winter coat.
I have mine in today and was really wishing I remembered gloves too.
Brrr!!!

Kaydyn was in her fleece pjs....and a raincoat that is lined. She was fine going to and from the car.
