anyone doing ivf and only making 1 follicle a month??
Hi all, have any of you done ivf but only produced 1 follicle? If so, did you go on to retrieval knowing you only had 1 to get?
I lost one ovary/tube because of endo. I did 5 iui's all bfn, 1 ivf with max amts of follistim, clomid and menopur they retrieved 3 follies (1 mature, 2 immature) 1 immature became a 4-cell that was transferred back but also resulted in bfn. My amh is 0.08 and I'm 38.
Do any of you think that there is hope? Thanks for you opinions in advance.

Yes there is hope. My amh is 0.01. And I only made 2 or 3 follies a cycle max stims. My ds is now 14m. Are u on supplements for egg quality??

I have been going to accupuncture since Jan. and I do take herbal teas from him which are supposed to improve egg quality but that's it. What kind of supplements are there and what helped you if you don't mind me asking?
Also, thanks for the hope. Congratulations on your success!

My situation is similar- lost an ovary due to an ovarian mass, had another mass on other ovary but it was saved in surgery. Prior to that surgery I did IVF to freeze embryos just in case. I only produced 2 eggs and they retrieved one viable egg the first round. I decided to do another round- they adjusted meds etc and I produced 5 eggs, 4 were successfully retrieved. I forget my AMH levels but they were very low and I'm 39. Only diff was I was on femara not clomid. I did not react well to clomid.
We're back on the process now, did one IUI BFN- dr said to go right to IVF bc of my situation- he wasn't pushing it but since I do have the insurance , my age, etc he said it makes sense. I'm not giving up and know my time will come. In the meantime I'm trying to take care of myself physically- eat better, started exercising again, vitamins- looking into acupuncture now etc. hang in there and please if you need anything fm me!!
