Anyone else a little nervous about giving birth in the blizzard?
The forecast is now saying up to 2 ft of snow. Normally that wouldn't bother me BUT my contractions came back last night. I was going to the bathroom all night and having inconsistent contractions. Could be nothing. Could be something. Just getting nervous it's going to happen during the blizzard. Anyone else?

Anyone else a little nervous about giving birth in the blizzard?
Yes but I'm not due for 3 1/2 wks and no symptoms yet so hopefully I'll make it through!
When are you due?

Due in about 5 weeks. But I do have weekly bio physicals starting Tuesday. Theres no way I will be making that appt this week. Its a 45 min ride on a normal day

How far are you from the hospital?
It will be fine, you can always call an ambulance if you can't get out yourself. Or ride out the blizzard in the hospital waiting room!!

I am a medic on an ambulance and it never fails during blizzards we take more ladies in labor then any other night because they cant get there cars out. There will someone there for you if need be.. no worries :)

Thank you. That makes me feel a little calmer. I am still getting the contractions but they are not consistent. I just keep thinking it's going to happen tomorrow night and I will be stranded. As long as an ambulance can get to me I am fine.

The low pressure of the snow. May be an old wives tale, but it seems to be true… lots of babies come in blizzards.
I'm only 30 weeks so not really concerned about going into labor, but there is always some concern when in your third trimester. Especially since DH is away on business and my parents are in Florida. DH is trying to change his schedule so he can be home tomorrow night. But I don't want him driving home tomorrow evening so if he can't be home early I told him not to come home.
I do know I won't be out there shoveling. So if he doesn't get home I am here until the thaw.

Today is my due date. I'm totally paranoid that I'm going to go into labor during the height of the storm. Allnight I had all these crazy scenarios going thru my head lol.

My dd was born in 2009. When we had a big snow storm! Everything was fine. Dont worry ladies

Yes me!!! My due date in next Tuesday (2/3) and I am hoping I do not go into labor. DH, my family and my in laws are worried I might.
