i am so conflicted my "lil guys" are taking the first part of the math test tomorrow and I would love to be there to cheer them on....but I have a fear of snow since flipping my car over in the snow in 2007.....anyone else on the fence or just know there is no way they are going to work???

If there is a significant amount of accumulation I will not go in. It's not worth it.

Re: anyone else considering taking the day off??
I had all intentions of calling in if there was 6 inches on the ground. Fortunately my boss called all of us from FL & told us to take the day. So no need to make the decision, I will be in bed

Re: anyone else considering taking the day off??
I will probably stay home. I really don't want to use one of my days but it's not worth it since it will probably take me 3 hours to get in!!!

Re: anyone else considering taking the day off??
I already emailed my boss to say I'm going to work from home. I feel kind of guilty because I was out 2.5 days last week with the flu, which is the longest I've ever been out sick, but...

Re: anyone else considering taking the day off??
I'm really getting annoyed that my boss isn't closing. All our neighboring schools closed and she always waits until the very last minute! I hate driving in that weather.

Re: anyone else considering taking the day off??
i don't know what to do...I am 35 weeks and my husband is working a 24 tonight so he won't be home in the am to help me with the car and getting around in the snow. I only work 15 minutes from home but still have to get on the LIE...I was also out 2 days last week for contractions...what do you think?

Re: anyone else considering taking the day off??
My school district never closes for snow! I have a feeling I'll have work tomorrow but DH doesn't want me to. Ugh we shall see what the morning brings us:(
ETA:::DH is working all night tonight and tomorrow and won't be home to help me shovel to get my car out. I don't think its smart for me to be shoveling snow at 17 weeks pregnant.

I'd be less worried about the shoveling off, and more worried about the roads. If it's just snow, it's usually pretty light to shovel off. But if cars are spinning out on the roads, there's no way to protect yourself...I don't know.

Re: anyone else considering taking the day off??
if theres alot of snow when i wake up then im taking the day or at least going in late. it'll all depend on what tomorrow morning looks like. the last few storms that they predicted to be big ones turned out to be nothing. so im playing it by ear.

Re: anyone else considering taking the day off??
I work for a company that never closes, but I am not going in. I live in Patchogue and work in Melville so it will take me a while to get there and being prego now it is not worth the chance , besides between my DH and my mom they won't allow me to, lol
