Anyone else doing IUI and injectables?
I'd love to have a buddy through this process!
Or if you have any stories, advice, tips, etc. I would really like to hear them!

Me
I don't have any tips because as you know i'm in the TWW for my first cycle.
One thing I can say- the injections really, really don't hurt at all. I was nervous and I have no problem with needles, but after the first night I was doing them on my own!
Good luck

You've got me too! I had my 4th IUI last week. They forced me to do a natural cycle this month because I built two big cysts after all the activity last cycle.
Here is my IUI history: Cycle 1: Clomid + IUI Cycle 2: Clomid. IUI cancelled. Follies on the wrong side (no tube on my right). Cycle 3: Follistim + IUI Cycle 4: Follistim + IUI Cycle 5: Natural + IUI
I'm in the 2ww now, but I feel AF getting ready to rear her ugly head.
They switched me to injectibles because the Clomid didn't do enough.

As for tips... I ice the area before I inject and I pinch the skin really hard. Makes it hurt less, and it really isn't that bad. It is amazing how quickly you get used to giving yourself a shot. It becomes no big deal and just part of your day.
The anticipation before the first shot was by far the worst part. Good luck!

ITA! Once I did a few injections, it was no big deal at all. I did one around of IUI/injectables (gonal-f) before moving onto IVF. The gonal-f injections weren't bad at all! GOOD LUCK!!
