Anyone else have tailbone pain/discomfort almost a year PP?
DD is 10 months old and I'm still experiencing pain and discomfort in my tailbone, somtimes my pubic and hip bones too.It's worse when I sit for long periods of time or if I use a hard bottom chair. I had DD natural vaginal birth and she weighed 9.3lbs . My OB said it was normal when I saw her for my pap at 6 months PP. anyone else experience this? Should I go to a different doctor? TIA

My oldest DD is 5. I starting having tailbone pain during my pregnancy with her and while it's not as bad as it used to be I still have tailbone pain if I sit for too long.

Yes, and DS is going to be 3 soon. I think it had something to do with the EPI. I had to get it done twice because I moved when they first did the EPI. I was in so much pain and my back has not been the same since.

Have either of you sought medical advice ? Or are we just stuck with pain ?!? I didn't want to get an epi cause I feared complications , but I was in labor for 2 days and the drs kind of pushed it on me. DD ended up in NICU because I got a fever. And now I'll have this tailbone pain , I'm afraid to get pregnant again because of the pain.

I dont have that type of pain from childbirth, but have you looked into going to see a back specialist? Maybe they can do an MRI to see if there is something going on with your tailbone?

I have just dealt with the pain, but once DC #2 is born I will be seeing a speacialist.

I have just dealt with it. I have heard that your tailbone can get fractured during pregnancy and/or childbirth. There is really nothing they can do to repair a hairline fracture. SO I always figured that is what it is.

I hurt my tailbone over almost 7 years ago and it has never been the same. I too still have discomfort if a chair is too hard or too soft. Mine was unrelated to pg but delivery can sometimes injure the tailbone. And it's a difficult pain to get rid of entirely. Mine often feels irritated and burning. I had gone to many drs and there was really not too much that could be done to help it based on the location.
