4 year old and leg pain
Last night my DD (who will be 4 next week) told me her legs hurt, I didn't think much of it.. She went to sleep and then @ 2am she woke up screaming for me saying that she needed me and her legs hurt.. I laid down with her and tried to calm her down but all she kept saying while crying was her legs hurt and ouch. She eventually calmed down and fell back asleep. This morning she woke up and she said she feels fine.. Has anyone else have experience with this?? My guess is that it's "growing pains" but I just wanted other opinions please. Thank you :)

Re: 4 year old and leg pain
If it happens again, I would consider bringing her in to the doctor. My best friends 5 year old son had the same thing and it turned out that he had fallen at some point, it was not a big deal at the time, but turned out he had torn something in his knee As her ped said to her "Growing is not supposed to hurt"
I hope she is ok soon!!!

Re: 4 year old and leg pain
DS has leg pain sometimes - usually when he doesn't want to go to bed. My ex said he remembers growing pains, my mom says he's FOS.
DS never wants medicine, just me to rub his legs and calm him down.

Re: 4 year old and leg pain
SD had the same thing. It was "growing pains". She always had them in the middle of the night. We would just hold her and rub her legs and she would fall back asleep in a few minutes. Most of the time she didn't even remember it the next morning.
