anyone ever stay in a hotel in the Lynbrook/ RVC area?
we need hotel rooms for the night of DSD's sweet 16, but I don't want to spend a fortune and I really don't want to end up with skanky rooms 
Any first hand experience with the hotels in that area?

I've never personally stayed, but the Hampton Inn Suites (where Merrick Rd. and Sunrise Highway cross) are nice. My brother and his family stay there when they come down to visit my parents. They said it's a little on the  side, but nice.
They are coming down again in December and might stay at the Best Western on Sunrise Highway (same area). I believe it's the old Holiday Inn. They said it was cheaper. Not sure of the accomodations though.

Yeah, I was surprised by the rates at the holiday inn express, we paid about that much to stay in a suite at the fox hollow a few months ago.
I just need rooms for me & DH, MIL & niece so we can get ready close to the hall and because I don't want to drive back out east after the party.

Friends of ours got married at St. Agnes in RVC and the girls in the BP stayed at the Best Western and were happy with it.

the only hotels in that area are the best western and the hampton inn previously mentioned.
