Bella HATES when we try tummy time on her Einstein mat. She wants no part of it and I feel guilty that we haven't been doing it.
However, she already does have incredible neck control. She's usually holding it up when she's on my shoulder or sitting on my lap.
I'm wondering, are there any other alternatives to "tummy time"?? DH will lay on his back & hold DS on his chest. DS usually loves tummy time, but sometimes he is just not in the mood to be on the floor.

Cailen hated it in the beginning too, so I did it on the boppy - hold the legs so they don't fall on their faces - but he loved it on the boppy - I did it with my friend's baby too, and she liked it also...
I felt guilty because I never did it either, but in daycare they do it everyday, so he is more tolerant of it now because he has gotten used to it - still not his favorite thing - but he "tries" now - he'll grunt and pant, trying to pick his upper body up, scrunching up his legs... so cute - and he's getting so strong!!!

rip the diaper off, lay them on a cloth diaper and it will become that happiest part of their day.

I used mirrors and stuff. he really didn't like it at first, but after a few weeks, he loved it and also at one point actually preferred to play on his belly.
This is another thing that I used, from Lamaze. It was great and Steven LOVED it!
Edited to add more pics to show the mat.
I have been looking for this everywhere.
They didnt have any at BBB in Garden City and NONE at the BRU in Massapequa.
I bought it online. He still uses the bottom part. It is SOOOO worth it, if you don't mind buying online. I got it from the Lamaze site directly.
