Can you believe the mine tragedy? I feel horrible for those poor families. This also goes to show why I do not like 24 hour news media ~ this horrific mine accident just highlights the problems of a 24 hour news cycle. I was watching last night as they were running around the town, congratulating the people and spreading joy. My heart broke when I woke up this morning and saw that 12 of the 13 miners were dead. The news media were basing their reports on what families were saying -- they NEVER had official word that the miners were alive. Since when do passerbys count as official sources? They spread incredibly false information around the world and raised the hope of that whole town, meanwhile, their loved ones were trapped dead in a mine. What a farce the media is, they should all be fined and be forced to go to reporting school. Those poor families, what a tragedy.
