Anyone get a NYSC membership through their job (such as NYC Dept of Ed)
This is what I am trying to do..BEFORE I do it I wanted to know if the rates are subject to increase like a regular membership. NYC Dept of Ed has an employee discount on memberships as do many other companies. So I just wanted to know if anyone has a corporate membership with NYSC...TIA

my company has a discount through them. When I checked it out two years ago, the price was $68/month.

The rates do go up, but from what I remember, it was minimal, like $2-$3 a year.

that's not a discount - that's $1 more then I was paying 3 months ago on my own
ours was $52- $26 every 2 weeks

When I belonged a few years ago (not through a corporate plan) I swear it was every month and it pi$$ed me off..I emailed the contact at NYSC and never got an e-mail back

are you talking about NYSC though...this is for the Passport membership which you can go to any club and there is no initiation fee

I am not sure what exactly you are asking. My company does offer a discounted NYSC membership. Last year it came directly out of our paycheck pretax. They did away with that program this year and now we simply get a discounted membership with no money down.

I had the regular NYSC- it was $66 a month- but you can still go to any one you want- just at off peak hours
at crunch I paid $52 a month thru my job- 4 years ago in NYC

It was annual- because I got this letter from them every year explaining all the improvements, etc. I think I pay $68 a month, and when I joined 8 years ago it was $56, I think.

Same here. They usually increased the rate as soon as our year contract expires.
