I get them fairly often and when I had one the other day i tried to just take some tylenol, but it didn't work. is there anything else that is safe to take?

Re: Anyone get migraines?
I get them really bad on occasion, more so during the second trimester. Exruciatingly painful... my dr. told me to take 2 extra strength tylenol's - sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. If it didn't, I wouldnt take anything, but try to take a hot shower, or take a nap.

Re: Anyone get migraines?
I used to get them in the 1st trimester and early 2nd trimester. I would take my tylenol sinus (which I am allowed to take)and also drink a small cup of coffee...the caffeine helps take my migraines away when I am not preggo and it helped now too...

Re: Anyone get migraines?
I had really debilitating migraines all throughout my pregnancy and even labor and delivery. I went as long as I could with just tylenol, but they were so bad I was constantly vomiting and ended up in the hospital. I ended up taking Fiorinol. It's really the only migraine medication safe during pregnancy. I wish I could say that it worked, but it really only took the edge off. Being on an oxygen mask at the hospital helped a little also, but nothing got rid of them. I also went for craniosacral therapy, which also helped take the edge off. Oh, and Zofran helped much more than Reglam for the vomiting. I'm not sure how bad yours are, my OB and Neuro. both said I was the most extreme case they'd come across. The good news is, every single symptom was 100% gone literally within minutes of delivery. I really feel for you! Be well. Lea.

Zofran was my best friend during my first and second trimesters... LOVE that stuff!

Re: Anyone get migraines?
I get them, that's when I threw up last week. My dr said it was fine to take the extra strength tylenol with some caffeine (especially since I don't drink it regularly)
She also recommended Tylenol PM

Re: Anyone get migraines?
Before pregnancy I'd get massive migraines and actually now nothing, so I'm pleasantly pleased with that.

Re: Anyone get migraines?
I get absolutely dibilitating migraines. I was actually up all last night with one. I was taking Relpax before I got pregnant, but I was told I had to stop it because it's not safe during pregnancy. Now I just try to lay down in a dark, quiet room and place a cold washcloth over my eyes. Sometimes that helps, although last night it did not do anything.

Re: Anyone get migraines?
I'm not pregnant, but I thought I was because I've been getting them out of nowhere! I've been getting them at night. Tested again...BFN. I'm thinking maybe it's too early still? Not due for AF for another 2 days. WE'll see. I think I mentioned in an earlier post that I've been spotting too. I'm getting kind of scared.

Re: Anyone get migraines?
I don't get migraines, but do get pretty bad headaches every once in a while. The Tylenol does nothing for me. I'll have to drink some coffee for it to go away.
