Anyone get their crib from a different maker than the rest of their furniture?
I really like the Pali Flower crib in cherry, but I think I may not be too crazy about the rest of the furniture I liked from Pali.
To make matters worse, I think I like some of JC Penneys furniture, but I'm worried the cherrys won't match.....
Any advice?

From what I have been reading (not sure if try or not) but most pieces wont be an identical match anyway even if from the same manufacturer. Most of the time the pieces arent directly next to one another so you probably wouldnt notice. Maybe you can get a sample of one and bring it to the other to try to match and see if you like it or not.

We did but the furniture we purchased was white, mainly for this very reason b/c then I knew I could mix and match and they'd still match.

Maybe you can get a sample of one and bring it to the other to try to match and see if you like it or not.
The only problem is that JCP doesn't have a furniture store, it's catalog only.
Nothing like making my life a little difficult, huh?

Sort of....mine isnt going to match exactly...
For the furniture, I am using my Etahn Allen set that I had as a child and I bought a crib that was a close match. I don't think the baby will mind that much

I am considering this because I want a crib with drop sides but I have not found a set I like that has such a crib. I am leery about getting a match though. I will probably give in and get a lifetime crib. There is a set that DH and I fell in love with and it only has a lifetime crib.

All 3 of my nursery furniture pieces are from different manufacturers. I was picky when it came to the armior I wanted and the changing table/dresser.
I ordered them all from Target actually, in natural finish. The armoir and the dresser match perfectly. The crib is a little darker... looks more like honey, but I love all 3 pieces and the difference in color doesn't bother me!!!

Just as a tip Mother Hubbard seems to have the greatest selelction of finishes so that they can try to coordinate with other furniture so they'd be a good bet.

Our crib and armoire is the same brand (Babi Italia) but our changing table is from a different manufacturer
