anyone going to big city moms biggest baby shower?
The tickets just went on sale last night, and already one of the ticket options is already sold out! my friends raved about this event, so i just bought my ticket. apparently, the amount of freebies/gifts you makes the ticket virtually pay for itself.

I went to the last one. Debating on going to this one as I will be 9 months.
The goodies are definetely nice but as a BTDT mom I know i won't use lots of the stuff (i.e., they give you tons of different bottles - great for testing them out, but I found it best to stick to one kind of bottle with baby). Last time they gave out the Mambo pillow too - I am excited to use that. I have a boppy but this way I can have two and not lug it from room to room!
Are you going with DH or solo?

P.S. - The tickets that sold out are the very $$$$$ ones but they come with a Britax R-Ready stroller. So if you meant to get that for yourself you saved $100 but just buying the $$$$$ ticket.

I'm going alone, but have already warned DH that he'll have to come pick me up to help me carry everything home. I bought the ticket that comes with the britax carrier, and this year, they are giving out a diaper caddy, so already that's too much stuff to carry!
Did you find it overwhelmingly crowded when you went?

It supposedly gets pretty crowded, so there will be less people with the early ticket. You also get a britax baby carrier too

I went to the last one and the goody bag is ginormous!!! There were some useful goodies. I had trouble carrying it home myself so I would def get help if you go.
They give away a nice stroller during each speaker session and there are some other freebies. The food was sliders & mac & cheese and cake pops and cupcakes.

It does get pretty crowded. I think the real benefit of the earlier ticket is the Britax carrier.
If I can convince DH to go (or at least pick me up) i think i'll attempt it - even at 9 months - it will get me in baby mood)!

hmm DH sent me the link to this and i honestly thought spending the money would be a waste...do you ladies really think its worth going and spending the money? im a FTM, dont plan on having a baby shower but have a TON of hand-me-downs coming my way from friends and family. ladies that have been there, is it worth going?

You definitely get more stuff than the ticket costs (they gave out a boppy, bottle warmer, tons of bottle samples, books, baby food storage, toys, diaper bag stuff, etc), plus the chance to win a Bugaboo or other nice stroller. Plus a lot of vendors had raffles / giveaways. I would get the cheapest ticket if I went again.
