Anyone grieve taxes yourself in town of Brookhaven? Any success?
We grieved last year w/ Mark Lewis and got turned down. I'm thinking of trying it myself--has anyone tried in Town of Brookhaven and won? I don't have good luck with battling traffic tickets in this town.

I know several people who have done it.
It's not a very difficult process. However, you need to make sure you have proof that your assessment is too high - not your taxes but your assessment. You need to do a comps search or have an recent appraisal.

I did it myself and was approved. If you go to town hall they walk you through the whole thing. They are great there.
