Anyone have 2 or more c-sections? Question about scar tissue
Ive had 2 c-sections already and im trying for a vba2c in July. While i had my 2nd c-section the dr said that i had alot of scar tissue but never made an issue out of it. He knew i wanted to have more children and said it was fine. I read my operative reports recently and it says the surgery was difficult due to all the adheasions to my bowel and something else, i forgot the word. Now im seeing a different dr who says that a vba2c may be better for me due to the fact that i have all the adheasions to the bowel. He said a 3rd c-section could get very messy, worse then my last and i could possible have problems with my bowel which would require additional surgery. Has anyone had more then 2 c-sections and was told they had alot of scar tissue or adheasions then went on to have another c-sec with no problems? Thanks for reading!

Re: Anyone have 2 or more c-sections? Question about scar tissue
I've only had 1 c sect, but I'll be having my second one in a few weeks. my doc told me from the beginning they would prefer me to have only 2 pregnancies, bc the third c section could be tough Can you get a second opinion from another doc in the practice?

Re: Anyone have 2 or more c-sections? Question about scar tissue
I've already had 2 c-sections and will be having a 3rd in November. My doctor has never said anything to me about it. My first 2 c-section scars are pretty much top of each other. I've also had a LAP done right before my second son so there's even more scar tissue.
A friend of mine has had 5 c-sections!!! She has had problems with the last 2 reopening and not healing right. Not sure if that has to do with scar tissue or not?
It sounds like every doctor has their own preferences just like with everything else. Maybe some doctors have more experience than others w/c-sections? So some are more comfortable and confident performing them? I really don't know? I'll ask my doctor at my next appt on 5/20.
Good luck!

Re: Anyone have 2 or more c-sections? Question about scar tissue
Thanks ladies. I know a woman who had 5 c/s too, all with no problem. I guess some people develop more scar tissue and adhesions then others. I was just reading up on adhesions and it said that they are thick bands of scar tissue that fuse organs together. In my case I had a lot of adhesions to my bowel. It said bowel adhesions can be the worst because it can close the bowel off not letting waste pass. In my case I hope my vba2c is successful and I don't have to worry about the c-section. I have a lot of confidence in my Dr. I guess im just nervous and reading up on this stuff makes me even more crazy!
