Anyone have a 6mth old that is NOT into baby food?
2 months....and she still clamps her lips shut when I try to feed her baby food. It's a rare moment that she willingly opens her mouth for the spoon.
but she's more than willing to open her mouth for table food.

My little sister never ate baby food, did the same thing as your DD.
So she ate table food!

Gavin didn't really start eating solids (yogurt, baby food, puffs, etc..) until about 8 months.

DS did not clam his mouth shut but he was not super interested. There are techniques to get them to start chewing. A little massage to the jaw is one of them, and there is some sort of trick you can do with your spoon. We did some feeding therapy and he's doing great. He had low birth weight to start, so it was important.

DS prefers table food, never cared for the jarred stuff. He'll take a couple of bites and then violently swat it away. I just give him table food.

Casey was pretty much on table food by 8 months b/c she hated baby food! There were a few things she would eat but they got old quick!

My daughter is 8 months and she prefers table sfood too. The doctor said it was fine, just cut into tiny pieces.

my DD NEVER ate a jar of baby food. She never ate cereal, nothing...so I went straight to table food.

YES!!!!!!!  I totally feel your pain, it was a fight EVERY SINGLE TIME, for months. At 20 months, it's STILL a battle
