Anyone have a DVD player in their car?
My friend had a DVD player installed in the back of her headrest after she bought her car.
The DVD player only works with headphones, not with the car's speaker system (I guess b/c it was installed post-factory). Is there any way she could hook up external speakers to the DVD player? I thought maybe she would be able to use the same speakers that iPods use in the headphone jack?
The car is leased so she doesn't want to pay the $$$$ of having someone re-wire the DVD player to her car's stereo. She has a small baby and she doesn't want to put headphones on him.
Can anyone recommend a speaker brand that might work for her?
Thanks in advance!

Is she sure that she cannot hear it through the speaker system? I would call up the place that installed them and ask. Usually all you have to do is switch the setting on the actual radio dash so that you can switch it from the wireless headset to the car speakers. And mine has an outlet where I can insert regular headphones into.

I have this and I bought a gadget at CVS (I think) that plugs into the headphone jack and transmits to a couple of define radio stations.
It's not perfect but it works most of the time.
