I've had mine for two years and DH and I LOVE it. It is so comfortable and definitely worth the money.
We got it from Rockaway Bedding, we were able to "beat up" the sales guy a little to give us free delivery and two free tempurpedic pillows (At the time Fortunoff's was offering the same special offer so we were able to negotiate with that).

Absolutely love ours. I do remember that the first couple of nights, it wasn't comfy, almost like it needed to break in.

Yup, that is exactly how I feel! Love love love it. Whenever we travel I can't wait to come home just to sleep in our bed! And the best thing is that you never have to turn it--I gained 70 pounds in my pregnancy and there is not even a dent in it (unlike my previous mattress after pregnancy!)

don't ALL "designated" mattress stores negotiate price? at least that has been my experience every time i have shopped at sleepys. i bought a termper about a yr ago haggled quite a bit w/ the salesman. can't remember the exact price but definetly a few hundred less than the advertised.

Tempurpedic mattress are all price controlled. Macys a while ago discounted them and lost their "license" to sell them for a year I think. that was the retail buzz I heard anyway.
They give away stuff to sweeten the deal.
We also got pillows and even though I didn't buy a Serta, I got a cute little stuffed sheep (counting sheep) Number 55..
