Anyone have an alarm system but don't own your home?
We our home, not just one floor but the whole thing and I was just curious as to whether or not it would be dumb to get an alarm or if anyone actually does this when they don't own? It would make me feel safer esp now that I have a DS.

When we rented a floor of a home we put the battery operated alarms on the doors/ground level windows. Sure, they're not going to call the police if the seal is broken but they sure scare the carp out of someone when they go off and will certainly wake you up if you're sleeping.
Something like this...

Wireless Door & Window Alarm agree they sell them on QVC.com. I got one for the sliding glass door and I turn it off only when *I* am opening the door because we have the canal in the backyard, and Teddy knows how the door functions. So I know immediately after that door has opened. I also have it on the windows. Makes me feel better and it is scary as $h*t when it goes off.

You can get one but, its a bit complicated b/c you have to guarantee a certain amount of time or they will charge you higher rates and installation.
