Anyone have an early sono with singleton and later with twins?
My friend had her last sono and was measuring 5w5d. Saw baby and heard heartbeart. She has another one on Monday and is worried it's twins. I don't know if there's something I'm missing to the story (to make her believe it might be) but is is normal to see the baby & heartbeart & hear it, and then go again and have twins??

If I didn't experience this, I'd never believe it- but this happend to my coworker. She had her first sono at 7 weeks where she saw 1 sac. For whatever reason, she didn't have another sono until her 20 week anatomy scan where she found out she was having twin boys!

When I was at my 6W sono they told me that it's ony one now, but another could always come...I was hoping that my 10 week there would be something there...but there wasn't...just the one. Which I'm still verrry excited about but just the thought of having twins...aawww. lol. I've never heard of it before then...

me me me me me me me me!!!
I had 2 sonos 8 weeks then 10 weeks. Then at almost 13 weeks, I found out I was having identical twins!!! Imagine the shock! It is more common for that to happen with identical twins since they share a placenta and sometimes sack than for fraternal twins (different placents and sacks). My baby girls must have been right on top of eachother!

This happened to my cousin. Her first sono only showed one. At her 12 week the tech said "Ok, I'm done with Baby A - now let's move on to Baby B" -- They were in shock!
