Anyone have bamboo flooring?
Looking for feedback - anyone have? How does it wear? Is it strong? Does it scratch? Any feedback or experiences would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Re: Anyone have bamboo flooring?
big surprise there....
Not all bamboo is created equal. Some bamboo is worse for the environment than old-growth wood. Some companies clear-cut rain forest to grow their cash crop, then use tons of toxic chemicals to bond everything together.
I used http://teragren.com/ . I did tons of research, and this company has always gotten good marks and reviews from all sorts of places. Their normal bamboo is harder and stronger than maybe 90% of all hardwoods, and their strand bamboo (which I plan on using for next year's dining room and kitchen project), is even stronger.
We have it in our office, and it's a popular room. The dog goes in there, but he doesn't like slick surfaces, so he puts his claws out to scurry back out. I have area rugs under the computer chairs, but DC are often sliding chairs everywhere BUT the rugs.... Haven't seen a ding or scratch yet.
I got the flat version, so you can see the "knuckles" of the bamboo. Image Attachment(s):
