Anyone have carpel tunnel?
Has anyone here had carpel tunnel? I was diagonosed with it about a month ago. I have been wearing the brace, taking ibuprofen and icing it, and it hasn't made all that much of a difference. I have heard that the surgery doesn't really help and having an infant at home isn't really condusive to having wrist surgery. So has anyone had the surgery? If so what were your results.

Re: Anyone have carpel tunnel?
is there any sort of physical therapy/ Exercises that your doctor can tell you about to relieve some of the pain?

I will have to ask, he told me to wear this brace and to ice it twice a day. I always at people saying they had carpel tunnel. Didn't think it was all that bad but it is. I can't believe how bad and for how long my wrist has been bothering me. I am not really keen on surgery so I will have to double check about exercises.

i wish i knew more about it But for most things, i feel like exercises or targeted massages can really do alot to aleviate some of the pain.
Good luck!!! hope at least some of it starts to subside

Re: Anyone have carpel tunnel?
I got my from a car accident and due to the fact that I type and write all day at works that just makes it worst. My doctor has wanted me to have the surgry for years but I refuse. Sometimes it is worse than others but the 1 st year I had it was the worst!!! I have to tell you wearing the braces made it worse I just take Advil and move my wrists & fingers around alot.

I had it when I was 19. I got it from playing hockey. I had 2 surgeries and neither worked. My fingers still get cramped and my hand is always cold. In my opinion, do without the surery!! You'll prob be better off
